Just finished doing my online shopping for delivery tonight (things are a bit rushed this week between getting back from hols and preparing for the boy’s arrival!)- While I quite like actually seeing what I’m buying, online makes it so much easier to see the special offers and bargains!
Plus because I’m off on Thursday to go to the airport and whatnot, I can have a late night baking session tomorrow, which means I don’t have to buy readymade baked goods, I’ll actually have time to do them myself (which I much prefer- just can’t beat the taste of fresh homebaked stuff).
Anyhows, just a trivial update as I’m procrastinating getting out of bed- I can hear the rain blasting down outside and I realllly don’t want to get up and go to work!

There are some days that can be turned around by the smallest of things. Today’s thing was reaching the supermarket just as they were setting out the reduced stock- I got scallops, 2 whole crabs and about 6 Scottish undyed kippers for £6, a potted thyme, a coriander and a mint plant for 30p each, a whole chicken for £1.75 and a BIG box of mushrooms for 75p- result? Shopping that will last for around a fortnight for less than £20 :) Meant that paying £20 for a shiny new wireless keyboard for lappy didn’t quite hurt as much!
However, the crabs and the brown crusty loaf were rapidly consumed as I stopped at Mum and Dad’s to get the doggy and Daddy offered to dress my crabs for me- an impromptu family feast of crab, brown bread and butter and mugs of tea then ensued, which was thoroughly enjoyable, wot?
